Robert Anton Wilson R.I.P.
I only recently found out that Robert Anton Wilson died on January 11th 2007. He's been described as "a prolific American novelist, essayist, philosopher, psychologist, futurologist, anarchist, and conspiracy theory researcher. His writing, which often shows a sense of humor and optimism, is described by him as an 'attempt to break down conditioned associations - to look at the world in a new way, with many models recognized as models (maps) and no one model elevated to the Truth.' And: 'My goal is to try to get people into a state of generalized agnosticism, not agnosticism about God alone, but agnosticism about everything.'"
I've always enjoy reading his stuff, mostly because, apart from being thought provoking, he's funny. I think his humour comes across in these short clips. The first one is about optimism...
This one's about "reality"...
And finally, here he talks about Albert Einstein, James Joyce and Aleister Crowley...

Food For Thought
Auld Bren was a big fan of this guy, and he is ribticklingly thought provoking, and even sports a great beard. Just who IS Robert Anton Wilson...?
